NK Osijek enters the new season without major announcements, but with significant changes in the club. Sports director Kenneth Zandvliet is setting the foundations for the new season, and new coach Federico Burdisso is taking over the team at the start of preparations. The players of NK Osijek will soon finish their break between the two seasons and start preparing for the new season. The club had poor results in this season, but now it has a chance for changes. And so NK Osijek will try to do a lot, primarily on a psychological level. They have lost their recognizability on the field, and thus their reputation among opponents. At Opus Arena, a general malaise has somehow taken over, so the first task of the new people in charge will be to eliminate this bad phenomenon. Our first task related to the first team will be to create a working mentality on and off the field, because that is the only way we can improve the club at all levels. Changes cannot be made in a short time, they happen during the process. We have a clear plan, we know where we were yesterday, where we are today, but also very well know what we want to achieve and where we want to be tomorrow. The official presentation of the new coach is expected no later than the first day of preparations. He, however, has a very demanding job ahead of him, but considering that he has spent most of his career in Andorra, he surely knows how to behave in more modest financial conditions. Osijek has certain foundations in the locker room, the only question is what will happen during the summer transfer window. More precisely, what kind of players will Zandvliet bring, because it will be necessary to find certain profiles, and there is always the possibility of departures. We are inclined to believe that a good part of the first team players would like to leave Opus Arena, and for some transfers that would bring financial injection to the club, probably the president Alexandra Vegh will be interested. In general, a lot of new things are announced, and what and to what extent these announcements will be realized, we just have to wait and see.
